“The Summer of Broken Rules” was the perfect little book for reading next to and in the pool. It was so adorable and fun but slightly deep and easy to read while enjoying rum punch. 🍹

The book revolves around Meredith, who is back at her grandparents’ Martha’s Vineyard estate for the first time after losing her sister in a car accident. It is in celebration of her cousins wedding and quickly meets and starts a flirtation with her cousins’ fiancés’ brother Wit. Their flotation was adorable and very YA but I really enjoyed their banter and relationship. I also found all the side charters endearing and the plot moved along quickly, but predictably which is just fine for a beach read.

Overall, if you enjoy YA romance from time to time, this is an enjoyable easy read!
