I'm trying to extend my reading to poetry and this is one of the first collections I've picked up. Really powerful poems with a lot of themes that resonated with me around love, child/parent relationships, sexual assault, bodies, self hate and joy.

Some of the poems are simple, clever turns of phrase that make you stop and appreciate what the writer's done immediately after reading them which I personally enjoyed but might not be everyone's bag!
