I really really liked this book: stunning writing and I loved how it followed the two family trees through time, starting in 18th century Ghana. However, I felt that as a result there were almost too many characters, which I could never remember, and it felt a bit rushed as we got towards the present day. Still, a fantastic book which I would definitely recommend!
