The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
emotional
funny
slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? Yes
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
3.0
Half the book was 4⭐ and the other half was 2⭐.
- 100 pages just to accept that he goes to Spain with her. It's the plot. We know he's going? Why write 100pages of maybe?no?yes?no?
-it's not a real ennemies to lovers trope.
-lina's inner dialogues were repetitive.
- the Spain part was the best part. It was a slow burn and some conversation had potential.
- the minute the smutt happened.... it all sent down the drain. It was sooooooooooo cringey.
