Fall Shook Up by Piper Sheldon

medium-paced

3.5

I was in the mood for a Fall setting romance and this cover was too cute to pass up. If you’re a fan of Brittainy Cherry and her Problems series, I think you’ll really enjoy this one. Claire is a journalist who uncovers the truths of the world and Levi is a mountain man who does wood working and helps people in town. He is grieving a loss and in return makes him grumpy and a bit standoffish. Claire and her ex broke up and she wanted change so she rents out a cabin that Levi owns. Levi is suppose to be a mountain man but I honestly would have forgotten if the author didn’t remind us often. I do find it cute that he wasn’t looking for love but it happened.  He’s a recluse but still found love. Claire can be a lot sometimes and Levi just learns to be patient with her and listen to her. Levi is too innocent for me. It was hard to picture him as a mountain man with the way he was and the guy on the cover doesn’t scream mountain man at all. However, their romance really pulled at my heartstrings and that’s exactly what I look for in a book like this. This story is super cute and both characters have so many quarks and are honestly perfect for each other. I do have to say I didn’t get huge Fall vibes from the story but there were a few. It was a good read!
