House of Dragons by K.A. Linde

4.0

This is a great story - a bit on the long side so make sure you're ready to be invested - and it's a trilogy so we are talking three long books.

I really loved the MFC - Kerrigan, a Dragon blessed with a secret past that she wants to forget and more powers than a half-fae should have. Her group of friends (found family) are quirky and varied in personalities which adds to the depth of the story.

There is a bit of a love triangle - or maybe not - maybe it's just two men interested in the same woman. And that woman finds that both of these men are necessary in her life since they both want to protect her and help and her. And at least one of them professes to be looking out for her own good - albeit in a questionable way.

I really liked the world-building and characters in the book - and liked it enough that I have the next two in the series......my hope is that I don't lose interest because the back of the books look like at least one of the MMC goes missing and if he's not found rather quickly I don't think I see a purpose for the rest of the 3,000 plus kindle pages of reading - so here's hoping my interest stays piqued in the second book House of Shadows.
