Motherthing by Ainslie Hogarth
I like the story, the cover is stellar, the unhinged woman theme is what kept me coming back for more. Initially I thought this was more centred on the ghost of the mother in-law, but somehow this is even more twisted. I'm reminded of Pearl a lot, because Abby starts off on the surface as a very sweet lady, whose obsessive love for her husband makes her do insane things.
A bit underwhelming, because I was waiting for something bigger to happen. Since I listened to this while in a depressive episode, it'll probably stick with me.
