Definitely not my cup of tea this one, I’d advise everyone to check trigger warnings before starting this book.
Well as much as I liked the second book (which I read first - long story short I thought they were standalones 🤦🏻‍♀️) I realllllllllyyyyy didn’t like this one all that much. There was a lot of emotional and psychological abuse which was definitely not balanced out with love or redemption or changed behaviour or growth so it was really hard to read. I have to admit I sped read huge chunks of it because of that, and I have to say the only reason I persevered at all was because I knew it got/was getting better in the second book. Definitely not enough love for my tastes so I’d advise reader caution and awareness of triggers in this book. Again Commander Rip and his crew were probs where I started actually slightly enjoying this book.
