Boss to the Rescue by Janie Grey

4.0

Jasmine has a big heart but with 2 older brothers, she can hold her own amongst other men. Whether it’s her fellow competitors in the internship she’s just begun at Malden Investments or the boss himself, Ed Malden, she doesn’t let men push her around. Along with her big heart (adorable opening scene with abandoned kittens she finds on her way to her first day at the internship), quick mind and self confidence, Jasmine is both warm and funny.

Ed Malden, on the other hand, has achieved what he wants most and, frankly, is bored. His involvement in the intern program is partly due to him fighting his boredom.

But then Jasmine appears.

This is a fun, well paced, boss and intern romance with enjoyable supporting characters. Jasmine is refreshing in wanting to prove herself on her own merit and valuing herself enough to work hard for what she wants - a position at the end of her internship. Ed was honestly not my favorite character but, once he’s away from his office, his more respectable personality appears.
