i need to preface this by saying i have never read jane eyre so everything in this book was new to me.
i really don’t know how to feel about this one. when i started reading it, i thought for sure it would be one of my favorites but then i got to the plot twist and wanted to chuck it across the room. of course i didn’t do that because i am very delicate with my books.
anyway, not only did the plot twist make me violently ill but the ending was so abrupt and quite frankly, everything just worked out for the male main character.
i am really perplexed after reading this book and maybe that was the point.
so, maybe you should try reading jane eyre before this and don’t go in blind like i did, you’ll probably have a better experience.
