This was a beautiful story about the relationship between a mother and daughter, about grief and loss, about doubts and opportunity.  The descriptions of Italy carried me there, even though I've never actually been. Thank you, Rebecca Serle, for a beautiful reminder that my own very talented but imperfect mother was also doing the best she knew with the family she devoted her life to.
