Its a beautiful children’s book that i would’ve ate it up as a child for sure. Because as an adult i still think this little story is heart-wrenchingly cute, and surprisingly unique, a story involving something of a fairytale staple like witches and moon magic. It still reads like a children’s fantasy, but its themes are again, quite unexpectedly deep. It will and can make you cry or tear up, atleast it did for me whenever Xan was involved in anyway. (especially, the ending) It can hit you all in the right ways if you’re in the mood for it.
Also my only qualm about this book would be that we didn’t get to seeLuna and her mom interact all that much after they met. There are two heartfelt moments and they’re really cute and make me shed a tear or two but i think i would’ve loved to see them bond a little bit more because i didn’t want her to be called a madwoman for so long.

It's so easy, the madwoman wanted to tell them. Just go mad. Madness and magic are linked, after all. Or I think they are.
Every day the world shuffles and bends. Every day I find something shiny in the rubble. Shiny paper. Shiny truth. Shiny magic.
Shiny, shiny, shiny. She was, she knew sadly, quite mad. She might never be healed.
For anyone looking for a cozy fairytale, with loveable characters , please read this wonderful story. It reads so fast and its absolutely adorable ♥️
