A fun beach/poolside listen. I think a perfect book as a "palate cleanser" if you're previous read was heavy but you'd still like to get a well crafted story. I "read" this book through audio and the narrators did great. Each did their own characters and supporting characters well. I found no fault with the accents. To this American they sounded spot one! I appreciated the no long pauses that often can pull me out of an audiobook. For the story itself I must say marriage of convenience isn't my favorite trope so I was slower to get into the story but that is certanily a your mileage will vary and not on the author. I did enjoy myself while listening to this and getting into the story. Suspend a little disbelief and go enjoy this story! I found in the story great flow, characters, dialogue.
A few highlights:
*Pierre's family and best friend. So hilarious
* The final scene in the last chapter at the fountain
content info.: closed door but not squeaky clean, light marriage & bedroom humor/innuendo, no language
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are 100% my own
