Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe

informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

This graphic novel is INCREDIBLE! I like to hope that I am accepting of the spectrum of LGBTQIA+ identities, but gender queer / non-binary is always something I struggled to understand (1. Because I do not identify that way, and 2. Because gender roles are a stupid societal construct). But this book is EYE OPENING as to how people who identify as non-binary may have come to that conclusion, and helps people like myself gain empathy and insight into how that feels.
