Darth Plagueis by James Luceno

3.0

I found it an entertaining look at Palpatine's master, but honestly felt it just glossed over Plagueis and focused on Palpatine by about the last 2/3rds of the book. It started off well, got a bit dry in the middle, then got kind of fun as it showed the off-camera scenes of Phantom Menace. In the greater scheme of EU books, this isn't all that bad. It's well written with good characters, and a familiar backdrop. I'd still only recommend it for die-hard Star Wars fans.
