The Stonecutter by Camilla Läckberg

4.0

With this book it feels like Ms Läckberg has found her own way. Her own voice. Or it might just be that she managed to get decent editors by this stage of her writing career.

I liked the murder mystery coupled with the psychological aspects from both the present and the past. Our history is after all a great influence of who and what we are today.
The main characters Erika and Patrik are somewhat complex characters, but where Patrik is really likeable and has developed over the books Erika is more stagnant. A busybody who hasn’t really developed much from the author we got to know in the first book she continues to annoy me. The secondary characters are a bit of cardboard cut outs, but they are developing a bit through the course of the series.
