People who have claimed nothing happened in this book are utterly insane. Romance should be character based at least 45% of the time, and this was just that.

Happy Place holds one of the most solid friendships of almost any book I've read, and it filled my heart with so much love and admittedly a touch of jealousy. The two leading men, due to being written by a woman, were perfect, and our main character, Harriet, rounded out the story just right. A tough woman who was in her head too much - how much more realistic can we get? The love that these characters had for their little group was the perfect way to wrap my July.

Also, Emily Henry finally gave us some much needed diversity! That in itself deserves an extra star.
