When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr

4.0

I read this to make sure it wouldn't be too scary for my tween daughter and decided it would be okay.

Based on the real-life experiences of the author, Judith Kerr, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit tells the story of Anna, a German Jewish girl from an assimilated family who is forced to flee from the Nazis first to Switzerland, then France, then England.

Highly recommended for capturing the many conflicting feelings of the young refugees as they deal with their surroundings and strive to feel at home somewhere.
