I don’t really have any thoughts about this book, which leads me to believe that it was…fine. Oh! The anxiety rep was out of this world. Readers will get an intimate look on what it’s like to spiral and see just how truly debilitating these conditions are. We also got to see the genetic factor in psych issues and the effects of mishandling them. You just have to keep in mind that…nothing really happens in an Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine kind of way. The action is in her anxiety.
TW: Car accident, animal death (brief), injury, panic attacks, homophobia, child abuse, suicide/suicide ideation, alcoholism, dissociation (I might have missed some because I was hurrying to finish. Sorry!)
Rep: Lesbian MC, neurodivergent characters, trans SC
Graphic: Mental illness and Panic attacks/disorders
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts, Death, and Alcoholism
Minor: Animal death, Murder, Child abuse, and Car accident
