The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice

It's been years since I had read Interview with the Vampire. Details were foggy, but I picked up #4 of the Vampire Chronicles and figured, what the hell? I was not disappointed.
To begin, Lestat assured me that even if I had never read the other books, I would be fine hearing this story and he was right. As he tells his tale, he dips back into history just enough to explain (remind) you of things you need to know to keep it in context. It never feels forced.
The story itself is fascinating and exhilarating. I couldn't wait to get back to it very time. I missed Anne Rice's writing.
