Charming Artemis by Sarah M. Eden
5.0
There are times where you have such high expectations and they get dashed. I was so worried I had played this book up in my head that when I got it in my hands, I was nervous I would come out deflated, it being the last book in the Jonquil and Lancaster Family series.
This was the most anticipated book of the year for me, and I am so glad I get to say that it more than exceeded my expectations. I could never have been happier. Sarah is so wonderful at creating these loveable characters, even when they were seen as obnoxious or troublesome in previous books. Getting the opportunity to read Charlie and Artemis's story was the best gift I have received.
Charlie and Artemis have been rivals for so long that when they are forced to marry, they don't know how they will ever be truly happy again. Both of their hopes and dreams for their futures are irrevocably changed. Seeing how Charlie and Artemis grow together in times of embarrassment, silliness, and grief, is an absolute treat. Plus, Adam.
I laughed and cried. I cannot wait to see everyone just love this book, like I have.
