I loved the Hallmark Christmas movie vibes of this one. And the bodyguard trope? Say less. However, there was a little too much plot for a novella and I hated the way she tied up the potential conflict. I would have just rather the couple get together and skip to the future. The plot would have been soooo good for a full length, almost makes me wish it would have been one.
