I appreciate so many things about Book Lovers. The hilarious banter, the dry sarcasm that's just my kind of humor, the many references to literature and popular romance tropes, the small town setting with a multitude of lovable characters and quirky establishments, including a local bookstore in dire need of TLC.
But above all, I love that Emily Henry gave us a strong, independent heroine who knows what she wants and what works for her and never loses sight of that, as well as a love interest who sees and adores her for who she is and never once tries to change her.

And finally we got a couple who isn't interested in having kids and confidently chooses the lifestyle that works best for them (and not a word of pushback from family members either)!! Incredibly refreshing to see this in a romance novel. We need to normalize this a lot more, in books and in real life.Graphic: Sexual content
