One of my absolute favorite tropes is marriage of convenience - so when I saw this book I knew I had to read it. This was my first book by Liaison and I really enjoyed it.
I always love watching the marriage of convenience turn into a real marriage and a happily ever after and this one added a bigger element by also being a Romeo and Juliet dynamic between two families. Unfortunately the Romeo and Juliet parts weren't my favorite and felt almost rushed at times.
I adored Leo and Tessa. Their competitive nature from high school was so fun to read backstory on and I loved how even though they could be total opposites they had a lot in common too. I love how important family was to them both.
The romance heated up perfectly in this book as it tends to with forced proximity. I love how natural it was because as they grew closer they actually started to learn to grow in other ways too.
This was such a good book and I will definitely read more from this author.
I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest review.
