Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling

5.0

Having read this book when I was younger, I was more than thrilled that it was included in one of my university reading lists. I read the book in 3 days, savouring each word. I was reminded of how simple the first book of the Harry Potter series is. Remembering how fast JK Rowling made the pace of the book made it really enjoyable. I did discover something new when reading it this time around though. Hermione really does take a lot of stick from both Harry and Ron when she was younger and yes defeating a mountain troll is a big deal but I seriously do not think that she should have totally rolled over especially with Ron.
Overall re-reading this let me back into my childhood and I had fun with it. Can't wait to see what angle I will be looking at the book at within my degree.
