We've Got to Try: How the Fight for Voting Rights Makes Everything Else Possible by Beto O'Rourke

hopeful informative inspiring medium-paced

3.5

This focused on the history of voting rights in Texas, the state that is the hardest in the country to cast a vote. I was drawn to it because I followed Beto O’Rourke’s campaign. I learned a lot I’ve never learned about Texas history. While I don’t agree with O’Rourke on every issue, I did appreciate the way he put together the fight for voting rights, his political career, and the stories of the many Texans he has met in his years both running for and in office.
