I won a copy of this book via a FirstReads giveaway.

This is the sixth (and final) book in the Corine Solomon series. I had not read any of the previous books, so it was hard to catch up on the storyline. As the book starts off, Corine "appears" to have lost her true love, Chance, in Sheol while rescuing her kidnapped friend, Shannon. Rescuing Chance is Corine's main focus throughout the rest of the book. Other reviews (from readers of the entire series) were happy with the way the smaller storylines tied together, but I can't adequately judge that with not reading the series from the beginning. The story was entertaining in parts (i.e. a dog who communicates by spelling words out with Scrabble tiles), but was not interesting enough for me to want to go back and read the previous books.
