While I Yet Live by Gboyega Odubanjo

5.0

i beg      while i yet live let me do dumb shit still

The blurb says this debut marks the start of an exciting career, and this pamphlet truly shows what a remarkable career Gboyega would have made for himself if he had lived. The pamphlet is writ through with the ever-present knowledge of death, that death and disillusion and accusations of criminality live on his back. But I don't want to make it seem like the collection only ascends to poignant, imaginative heights and depths of feeling in the wake of Gboyega's passing. If I had read it when it came out I would recognise it still.
