Sinner by Sierra Simone
3.0
CW: (semi spoiler) || on-page, drawn-out description of the death of a loved one ||
I’m really torn about how to rate this because Sierra Simone is an incredible writer but something about the way he talked about her youth gave me the ick. I think it’s the number of times he calls her “my sweet little nun” or variations with the word “little,” which is a reference to her age. I also wanted to puke every time he called her “little Zenny-bug,” but that could just be me.
I greatly enjoyed Sierra Simone’s thoughts on God and sex; they won’t be for everyone, but I found them interesting and insightful.
And no, unlike other reviewers, I don’t think every single romance book ever written has to have dual POV. This was fine with just Sean’s POV; that wasn’t the issue.
