"-I have to believe that something beautiful always comes from the heartaches we experience. I have to carry that hope that it's not all for naught."
I am not gonna lie, Scarlett emotionally drained me in this book. She spent so much time pushing away everyone and everything to immediately accepting it all in the blink of an eye. She honestly doesn't feel like a geniune character to me that has any motivation or purpose. Talwyn is the real heroine of this story. The moment this book became GOOD was introducing the high witch, the oracle, Talwyn's pov and the underlining plot. This book series has so much potential. I am hoping the author continues how this book ended off; it rocked my world.
