god. this book was so good. it made me cry and that's how u really know a book is good bc fiction doesn't make me cry easily. i think. idk! all ik is that it was able to invoke a lot of feelings in me and that's why it's such a good book. i was super intriguied with the plot from the beginning, i started this book without knowing what it was about at all and it did not disappoint. iwan and clementine's first encounter was actually so funny and cute, i knew right away i'd love them to death. and i LOVE original nicknames so the fact he calls her 'lemon' is cute and it works! as a nickname. for me. and iwan is the greenest flag ever, i love him, he's so cute. like he can cook and he's passionate about it, that is ADORABLE 🤭 and the way clementine listens so earnestly to him when he rambles is the sweetest thing ever. and i love how easily he blushes IT'S SO CUTE. i think the romance was pretty fast-paced, like they fell for each other really quickly
but oh my god, i got butterflies in the first kiss scene when he goes "may i kiss you?"
and they're the sweetest ever. they're like... idk how to explain it. but they're love. they just feel like love. and this book was so emotional but i feel like it would have been especially emotional to people who've experienced losing a loved one. and there were a lot of moments in the book that made me giggly.
for example, literally every single kiss scene had me weak, i'm not kidding. i was giggling and blushing. and that scene, in the present, where she backs him up to a wall without realizing and he thought it was SEXY 😭 i love them sm. AND HE SAID "GOOD GIRL" IN THAT SORTA SMUT SCENE OMG. THAT DID IT FOR ME. like that will get me every single damn time. oh my god. he's perfect.
the cast of characters were cool, too! none of them stood out much to me but they all seem so sweet and funny. overall, this book was such a wonderful experience. iwan and clementine's love is the purest thing ever. and i love that clementine wasn't bland to me. she doesn't stand out too much, she's not a character with a loud personality or anything but i find her cute. she's intriguing and she's sweet, she's lovely. she reminds me of a friend of mine. and iwan is the cutest, sweetest soul ever. the ending was lovely, too! i'm very content with how it ended. this book warmed my cold dead heart fr.
also the pigeons being named mother and fucker made me giggle every time like why is it so funny 😭
