I think the main appeal for anyone looking to read this book is definitely the writing and lore. The prose is really well-crafted and even has a lyrical quality at times with how smoothly it flows. There are lots of intricate details and descriptions sprinkled throughout. Personally, I like books that focus more on characters, and I feel like in this one, the characters mainly serve the larger story rather than having their own smaller arcs or motivations. The ending, without giving anything away, is a huge cliffhanger; some might love that, but for me, it made the story feel incomplete.
