I hugely enjoyed this 4th installment of the Stormlight Archive. The plot had me gripped from start to finish and with the occupation of the tower it truly felt like nobody had plot armour. Navani's discovery of anti Voidlight, leading to the reverse engineering of anti Stormlight has really raised the stakes in the struggle for power between the Radiants and the Singers.
Adolin's trial as a B plot was good, but I would have preferred the consequences of the ending be a little more fleshed out - perhaps we will see this in book 5.
Oh Kaladin, just when we thought you couldn't be put through any more, you are. He really is the epitome of human resilience and spirit of will.
I thought the pacing throughout was good despite the book being around 1000 pages.
Eagerly awaiting the 5th installment in December!
