I was expecting a very different story going into this book, but I’m not necessarily disappointed. While I did feel some reactions to certain things were a little overdone, I thoroughly enjoyed the character development- maybe it wasn’t even “development” but more reveal of a certain characters depth of understanding and empathy when that’s not how most people know her.
Not exactly a spoiler, but be warned there is a character who develops a MN disease. As someone who is currently a caregiver for a spouse who has this exact diagnosis, it is always a bit triggering to have it pop up out of the blue so I wanted to let anyone else dealing with that know!
