Batman: Earth One Vol. 2, by Geoff Johns

5.0

Comparing the Earth One comic books, with Marvel, where do you think this would be? Ultimates or What Ifs?

A lot of comic book readers may not like Geoff Johns' way of handling the Green Lantern series, but for reimaginings, I think he is the perfect guy to do it (because yes, I watch Arrow, and he did a good job with Greg Berlanti on another Oliver Queen). And with this second volume of Earth One, I think he did not disappoint. Here we have the same Batman, no experience, but with different characters around him. Here we see a different soon-to-be Two-Face in Jessica Dent, a kind Killer Croc, and a kick-ass Alfred that everyone wants to see. With a different and more realistic Riddler as his first opponent, we see how Batman struggles to be both the man in the cape, helping Detective Gordon, and Bruce Wayne, as all the clues to the deaths of people in Gotham lead to him.
