Conspirata by Robert Harris

4.0

Perhaps I underrated the predecessor volume, Imperium. Harris does an excellent job bringing the days of Cicero (and Caesar, Pompey, Crassus, and Cato) to life. Although I still wish the language more closely resembled what a translation of a Roman document would read like, I can't complain about the chance to become more educated about this famous period of history.
