Lost me at the part where she couldn't date a guy because he didn't write enough and "that kind of thing is contagious." You can just say you're insufferable and save us all the time.

(Actually though, I think fiction about writers just doesn't work for me, especially when there are random inconsequential plots thrown in and the main character can't make a good decision to save her life.)
