I chose to read ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก, a memoir by Raynor Winn, as part of a 2023 challenge created by my friends in The Little Book Nook group. This book fulfills my own prompt of reading a book about nature, as it follows a couple on their 630-mile trek down the South West Coast Path, from Somerset to Dorset. โฃ
After 32 years of marriage, Moth learns he is terminally ill, and he and Raynor lose their home, all within a matter of days. Walking "homeless" through their grief along the coastal cliffs, they find an unexpected strength living in nature, redefining "home" as more than just a place. โฃ
I loved this heartfelt book. I could feel and taste their descriptions of the salty air, and could imagine their experiences in the natural world. What a beautiful memoir.โฃ
