Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

4.0

An imperfect, sometimes questionable, and often messy story of a complicated friendship born out of a mutual love for video games—yet also an undeniably earnest and beautifully-handled exploration of love, loss, and what it means to work and play. I loved this book’s focus on not only games as an experience but also the creative design process behind making one, and despite the bits of unrealistic dialogue and more than a few infuriating character choices, this kept me entirely invested with its consistent sense of authenticity, drive, and heart. It’s rare that a book will make me tear up, but this one did.
