The Once and Future King by T.H. White

Did not finish book.

I just couldn't do it: 45% DNF. While I appreciate the talent of an author who blends the fatuous and absurd into a tragedy, and weaves "modern" (1950s) cultural references into a medieval story, it simply wasn't for me. The style grated, I disliked all the characters , and found the comedic asides annoying and superfluous. I'm sorry I couldn't like this more.
