A fine entertaining read without being outstanding. The horse details were not too ridiculous (apart from taking the 1866 Melbourne Cup away from The Barb). The romance was far too quick and some of the character motivations seemed repetitive and/or contradictory.
But I did get invested in the family secrets and India's determination to run a successful Thoroughbred stud, so the plotting was solid enough.
