Sacrifice by Karen Traviss

3.0

Well this is the first Legacy of the Force book I am reading. Let me begin that this is not the first book in that series, this is more half way through. The Galaxy is very much different than what I last read (which would be the Republic Commandos).

I mean Boba Fett the bounty hunter is old, there is the Galactic Alliance, Han/Leia Solo's child is Jacen Solo (and Anakin Solo had died before that), Luke and Mara's son 14 year old Ben Skywalker is on GAG missions (he might be the next Sith Lord though, way down the Star Wars line).

Everything here is kinda new for me, its the other 'era'.

I thought that the stories were abit drawn out. But then Karen Traviss is great at writing charactter development and action scenes. Sometimes it did get reptitite (for example Mara's attempt at dissolving Lumiya which could have been solved in one scene, but went on for 3 scenes I'd say).

Now with this book done I have to read the next ones (or the ones before). It is an interesting addition to the SW Galaxy series, and I wish to make myself more familiar with this. However I need that connection between the end of Empire Strikes Back to Legacy of the Force.

All in all, a good read!
