Breakdown:
Well, it was a retelling. Usually, I find myself put-off by retellings, but I found this one adorably charming. All of the characters were full of their own personalities with just the right amount of personal issues to tie into the main plot. During the con scene, I found myself yelling at the book so Darian could stop being an idiot. Total miscommunication trope, but I'm not faulting it for that since that's kinda Cinderella's whole shtick. But it's still pretty annoying.

Also, these two mains have total chemistry until the very end when Elle was running through all of the what-ifs and questioning her relationship, making me question it too. Except, for me, I worries and doubts were brushed under the rug by a kiss. No sir-ee. I hope the best for our two morons.
