Nope, still do not like Lacan and still do not fully agree with Zizek, but I'm grateful for the clarity. Even if he is not the postmodern mastermind he's been repeatedly accused of, his worldview is * p r o b l e m a t i c* for a number of reasons such as not really putting a consistent anthropology, where everything else stems from. Even if he takes Freud again and claims to be his true interpreter, it's as if, well, the whole thing is dead and reductive.

Many Zizekian concepts are reutilized here as other readers noted, and his analysis of Christianity leaves much to be desired, but at least the references he used were way more familiar to me.
