given whats currently happening around the world right now, it's scary to see that even now in this day and age we haven't really come all that far from the 1830s... the effects of colonialism (along with the act itself) still persists even now and we're able to witness that happening in real time. 

in light of that, this wasn't an easy book to read given the content it deals with but i also did enjoy reading it. loved robin as a protagonist he's definitely made it on to my top ten fave protags
