Lake News by Barbara Delinsky

It's a nice, good story. Very well written. The descriptions made me want to be beside a lake and hear a loon again.
I cared about the characters enough that I was really angry at times.
I am glad that the author avoid the cliché often found in that kind of story. The love interest didn't betray the main character, to redeem himself later, for example, but did the right thing right away.
But sometimes it was just a little bit too much. Lily annoyed me when we learn that she was married, betrayed by another man, and still, she didn't learn? Ah! It's good that she trusted John, but still... A little bit of the damsel in distress...
But overall a nice story.
