The fact that this is Allie Millington’s debut novel and it is this outstanding makes me so excited for her future works!! The imagery, symbolism, multiple povs (including non-human), themes, and characterization is so enticing throughout the story! This could be one of the greats! 

As a teacher, this is the exact type of book I want to read with my middle schoolers. I’m going to advocate that this goes on our read list ASAP.
