Disney in Shadow by Ridley Pearson

This book left me feeling pleasantly surprised. I noticed an improvement since the last two books in the series. I'm not saying this book was phenomenal or the best thing I've ever read, but it's getting better.

The biggest improvement that stuck out to me was the character growth. I can actually tell the five, I mean seven, DHI's apart. Their own skills, talents and areas of expertise are finally being more noticeable and I really like that. It makes the story so much more fun to read.

As for the plot, I'm glad that the author isn't making anything too easy for the kids. For a while, every chapter would end in a dramatic cliff hanger. Speaking of which, it was hard at times to remember what kid had what task or who was paired up with who. Especially if you set the book down for a couple days like I did.

I feel like I've been reading this same book for months, but it's really only been a little less than a month. I blame the length, a whopping 545 pages. But I got through it and I actually enjoyed it.
