"The Dead Cat Tail Assassins are not cats
Nor do they have tails
But they are most assuredly dead"
This novella was an absolute blast to read! It hooked me right from the start—how could it not? A group of undead assassins with no memories of their past? The story is fast-paced, action-packed, and often bloody and violent, yet perfectly balanced with dry humor that had me giggling more than once.
Eveen narrates the story, and she’s an absolute badass. As a top-notch assassin, she *usually* follows the guild's three main rules—until this job throws everything into chaos (cue the plot twist). I loved her voice: funny, snarky, foul-mouthed, and brilliantly clever.
The world-building is phenomenal, with rich lore and a unique cast of characters—from gods to assassins—all vividly crafted. I’d love to read more stories set in this world!
