Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

2.0

I liked the concept of the book a lot and how interconnected it was at the beginning, but it kind of fell apart after the hundred page mark. It moved way too fast at the beginning and I feel like if there was more of a buildup to the entire darkling kidnapping alina again situation, it would have been better. Especially during the part where they found and captured the sea whip. (That felt way too rushed; pretty sure it happened in one or two chapters.) In my opinion, that was the probably the climax of the story. This book didn’t really have a plot, and most of it was kind of irrelevant BUT I loved Nikolai a lot. Not that excited to read the third book, but I will just to get some closure. (And maybe because I really want to start six of crows)
